Sophie Turner regrets revealing her new Game Of Thrones tattoo, the actor has said in a new interview.
Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit show, recently showed off a new tattoo of a direwolf with the words “The pack survives” written beneath it. The ink sparked speculation of the Starks fate in the forthcoming final season of the show.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor spoke about fans jumping on the slightest details to theorise over future storylines. “I remember a few years ago I dyed my hair blonde for another role that I was doing,” she said. “Everyone thought I was a Targaryen all of a sudden.”
She continued: “So they’ve used a couple of the slightest things [to form fan theories]. But it’s actually really exciting. It keeps the excitement going and it keeps people guessing. Game Of Thrones is all about theories. So the more we can conjure up, the better it is. The more exciting it makes it, the more unpredictable it makes it.
“But yeah, definitely that tattoo was probably not a good idea because everyone thought that I’d given away the end. But I haven’t. It’s a quote from last season.”
Turner recently teased what fans could expect from the final season of GoT, which is due to air next year. “I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people,” she said. “There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.
“It’s Game Of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before.”
