The Spice Girls‘ Mel B has aired her desire for the band to perform at Coachella festival 2019.
The iconic ’90s pop group will return to the UK stage next year, with a string of huge stadium shows scheduled for May and June. However, they will be performing as a four-piece – with Victoria Beckham opting out of the long-awaited reunion.
Having revealed earlier this week that a potential Glastonbury slot has “been talked about”, Mel B has now said that she would “love” the Spice Girls to take their show to Coachella.
Asked by TMZ if an appearance at the huge California event is on the cards, Mel B replied: “I would love that.”
The singer previously let slip that the group will be announcing a US leg of their comeback tour, following the enormous demand for tickets to the UK shows. Asked on The Jonathan Ross Show if the tour will be extended to other countries, Mel B replied: “It’ll be all over the world.”
Meanwhile, discussing the possible Worthy Farm appearance earlier this week, Mel B said: “But we’re so pop and it’s so cool — that’ll be funny to me.
“I think Mel C would really appreciate us doing that — she’s the cool one. She’s the cool indie chick.”
