A previously unreleased St Vincent song will feature on the deluxe version of Annie Clark’s acclaimed 2014 album ‘St Vincent’.
Consequence of Sound reports that the release will come out in February, and contain five bonus tracks, including the unreleased ‘Bad Believer’, as well as Japanese bonus track ‘Del Rio’, ‘Pieta’ and ‘Sparrow’ from her Record Store Day Black Friday single. Darkside’s ‘Digital Witness’ remix will also feature.
St Vincent’s self-titled album was named NME’s 2014 Album Of The Year 2014 and was placed seventh in NME’s Albums Of The Decade So Far.
Annie Clark recently revealed that she has written songs with Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein. The collaboration was discussed in an interview with comedian Marc Maron as part of his long running WTF podcast series. Clark was the guest on a podcast last month and confirmed that she had written music with Brownstein, who recently reunited with Sleater-Kinney for a new album which will be released this month.
Asked by Maron if she will release an album with Brownstein, Clark seemed doubtful, stating: “I mean… she’s preeeetty busy,” but added that they may release a 7-inch record one day.
