Listen to a new score from the 'Under The Skin' composer
Mica Levi‘s soundtrack for a forthcoming Jackie Kennedy biopic has been made available to stream.
The film is the second that the London singer-songwriter and composer, who also performs as Micachu, has scored after 2014’s Under The Skin. Levi was awarded Best Composer at the European Film Awards and also received a BAFTA nomination for her work on Jonathan Glazer’s sci-fi adaption which starred Scarlett Johansson.
The soundtrack to Jackie is streaming on 20th Century Fox’s website, ahead of its release on December 2.
Levi recently collaborated on an album with Radiohead cellist Oliver Coates, scheduled for release by the end of the month.
Jackie is directed by Pablo Larraín, best known for his Academy Award-nominated 2012 film No about the 1988 Chilean plebiscite, and is produced by Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky.
The film charts the life of the First Lady, played by Natalie Portman, following the assassination of her husband, President John F. Kennedy, in 1963. Greta Gerwig, Peter Sarsgaard, Richard E. Grant, and John Hurt also star.
Levi has released three albums with her band The Shapes, 2009’s ‘Jewellery’, 2012’s ‘Never’ and last year’s ‘Good Sad Happy Bad’. In 2014, she released a solo EP, ‘Feeling Romantic Feeling Tropical Feeling Ill’.
