Italian horror maestro Dario Argento has released the remake rights to his classic 1977 horror film Suspiria.
The remake, which has been in talks for nearly two years, will be directed by David Gordon Green, whose previous films include comedy The Pineapple Express and the 2008 thriller Undertow.
It is rumoured to star actress Natalie Portman, but previous rumours that goth rocker Marilyn Manson will co-star are so far unfounded, reports Total Film.
According to the producer of the remake, Marco Morabito, Argento finally gave up the rights to the cult horror classic because he is “convinced that his movie is a masterpiece and can’t be overshadowed”.
