Film is to be based in New Orleans

The actor will play a New Orleans hitman forced to team up with a young New York police officer. Filming in New York and Louisiana will begin in May.

Stuart Ford, CEO of film distribution company IM Global, told Hollywoodreporter.com: “Headshot is exactly the type of fast-paced, universally themed project that suits our business model. Sylvester Stallone is an international icon and we’re really excited to be in business with him.”

Wayne Kramer, who helmed 2003’s The Cooler, is directing. Alessandro Camon has written the screenplay. Ford will executive produce with Deepak Nayar.

After filming on the new movie has finished it’s expected that Stallone will work on the sequel to last year’s The Expendables.
