Actredss Rooney Mara was not 'severely injured', despite claims

The makers of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo film adaptation have denied claims that Rooney Mara was “severely injured” on set.

The actress, who plays computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, in the new adaption of the hugely successful book series, was rumoured to have suffered a serious shoulder injury according to reports in the Swedish media.

It was also claimed that the Scandinavian shoot had to be postponed.

However, the film’s studio, Sony, have denied the claims, with Ninemsn.com.au reporting that a spokesperson said “production has not shut down. She is fine”.

A representative for the actress herself also spoke out, declaring: “The report out of Sweden is completely false. Rooney is perfectly healthy.”

The thriller, which is directed by David Fincher, also stars David Craig.
