US actress Heather Locklear has been arrested on suspicion of fighting with emergency first responders for the second time this year.

The Melrose Place star  was reportedly drunk when police arrived at her California home on Sunday to probe a dispute between Locklear and acquaintances believed to be family of friends.

Ventura County sheriff captain, Garo Kuredjian claims that Locklear kicked one of the police deputies before assaulting a paramedic.

Locklear was subsequently released on Monday morning after posting $20,000 (£17,000) bail.

She is believed to have subsequently checked in to a treatment facility.
