Alfie Allen denies reports that sister Lily was nearly cast in ‘Game Of Thrones’

Pop star sibling previously said she was offered role of Theon's sister

Alfie Allen has denied claims his sister, Lily Allen, made about how she was nearly cast in Game Of Thrones.

Earlier this year Allen claimed that she turned down a cameo appearance in the popular fantasy show, saying she was asked to play the sister of Theon, who is played by Alfie Allen, her real life brother.

“I’ve been asked to do a Game Of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister,” she said at the time. “I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”

However, in an interview with Vulture, Alfie says his sister was incorrect to say that and praised actress Gemma Whelan, who took the role. “I heard about this, yeah. The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true,” he said. “Gemma Whelan was always their first choice for the part. And she’s fantastic. And that’s the only thing I’m going to say about that.”

While Allen was not keen on the role she claims she was offered, she did say that she would be interested in making music for the show, following in the footsteps of Sigur Rós and The National.
