‘Atlanta’ season 2 premiere date revealed – watch trailers

Second season will be titled 'Atlanta Robbin’ Season'

Atlanta has been confirmed to return for a second season this March. Watch the first trailers for the next season below.

The first season of Atlanta was critically acclaimed upon its debut in September 2016, with creator Donald Glover picking up two Emmy awards for his work on the show last year.

The show’s second season was delayed due to Glover’s Star Wars commitment, but has long been expected to return at some point in 2018.

Now US network FX has announced that the second season of the show will go by the title Atlanta Robbin’ Season, premiering on March 1.

The premiere date differs from that cited in a recent Instagram post from the show’s star Lakeith Stanfield.

Stanfield – who plays Darius – posted a photo of the show’s cast to Instagram, along with a caption that initially suggested that Atlanta would return in February 2018.

However, Stanfield later edited the caption, changing the expected due date to April 2018, then February 2020 and on and on. The post was eventually deleted entirely.

Last January, La La Land star Ryan Gosling admitted that he would like to make a cameo appearance in Atlanta.

Gosling told the Metro: ”I don’t know if there’s a place for me on the show Atlanta but I’m a big fan of that show. I think it’s pretty great. There’s a lot of good TV out there right now.”
