Bella Thorne speaks out about suffering sexual abuse as a child

Former Disney star opens up in Instagram post

Bella Thorne has opened up about suffering from sexual abuse until the age of 14.

The actress, singer and former Disney star took to Instagram to speak out about the abuse that she suffered as far back as she can remember.

Her post was tagged with the #TimesUp hashtag, the movement founded in response to the initial #MeToo cause.

“I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14 when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it,” Thorne wrote.

“All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again. Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did.”

“But some of us aren’t as lucky to get out alive,” she added. “Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup”.
