Bill Cosby testifies in sexual assault lawsuit

To date, Cosby has been accused by 54 women of sexual misconduct

Veteran comedian Bill Cosby has testified in a lawsuit which sees him accused of sexual assault.

Cosby, 78, has been the subject of numerous sexual assault claims over the years, which have become the focus of increased media scrutiny in recent months. Cosby has denied all wrongdoing.

In this particular lawsuit, Judy Huth claims Cosby forced her to perform a sex act on him in the 1970s when she was 15 years old. Huth’s lawyer Gloria Allred confirms that Cosby appeared for a deposition in Boston on Friday (October 9).

Huth will appear for deposition on Thursday (October 15). A California judge will decide in December whether the testimony should be made public.

Cosby’s lawyers have described Huth’s lawsuit as “frivolous” and accuse her of attempting to extort Cosby.

To date, Cosby has been accused by 54 women of sexual misconduct. Most fall outside the statutes of limitations for legal proceedings.

Cosby also a defamation lawsuit brought by three women who claim he abused them, plus a suit filed by a model who alleges he drugged and sexually assaulted her.

Cosby is also being sued by Janice Dickinson for sexual assault and his insurer, who don’t want to pay out for the lawsuits.
