‘Captain America”s Chris Evans hits out at Piers Morgan for criticising how ’emasculated’ Daniel Craig carries his baby

"Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside."

Captain America‘s Chris Evans has taken aim at Piers Morgan after the broadcaster criticised Daniel Craig’s decision to wear a papoose.

The Good Morning Britain presenter caused a stir online on Monday (October 15) for suggesting that James Bond actor Craig “emasculated” himself by using a papoose to carry his baby.

“Oh 007.. not you as well?!!!” Morgan captioned an image of Craig and his child, adding the hashtag #emasculatedBond.

The Captain America actor then hit back at the journalist’s ridiculous views.

“You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child,” Evans said. “Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”

Morgan retweeted the comment with the caption: “Captain America wouldn’t wear a papoose.”

One fan replied to the tweet with a mock-up image of Captain America sporting a sling, while another called for changes in the next Avengers to mock Morgan’s ignorance. “Can in some way add a scene in with Steve and a baby strapped to him using a papoose,” they suggested.

Fearful that even his favourite movie characters aren’t ‘real men’, Morgan is still posting about the subject this evening. “On the red carpet tonight.. now THIS is how you hold a baby,” he captioned a snap of himself holding a doll.

Ross Kemp – another TV ‘tough guy’ – also shared a picture of himself sporting a baby sling. “Come on , bring it on!” he said. “See you tomorrow.”
