Chris Pratt on ‘Parks and Rec’ revival: “I know I would do it”

Amy Poehler is also keen to head back to Pawnee

Chris Pratt says he “knows” he would be involved in a Parks and Recreation revival after revealing he misses playing the show’s character Andy.

The show’s last episode aired three years ago, running for a total of seven seasons and bagging a Golden Globe along the way.

Since its ending, Pratt has gone on to become a Hollywood superstar, appearing in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series, Avengers: Infinity War and most recently, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

When asked if he would return to his humble TV beginnings on the show, Pratt said: “As long as I’m in town, yah, I’ll do it,” he told E! News. “It films like 10 minutes from my house so that would be dope. I miss Andy too. I would love it. I know I would do it.

“I think [Andy] becomes a weatherman,” he said of the show’s beloved character. “He would be a good weatherman. He would have no idea what he’s even saying!”

The comments come after Poehler said that a Parks and Recreation comeback could happen.

“I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it. We would all do it someday,” she said. However, Nick Offerman said it would only happen on one condition.

“We said that if Beyonce will play mayor, we’ll bring the show back,” he joked. “This is Beyonce Knowles, the singer”.

Poehler and Offerman reunited earlier this year for a new crafts competition show called ‘Making It’. The programme pits contestants against each other with two challenges per episode – one timed, the other themed – in things like painting, woodwork, and metalwork. One contestant will be crowned “Master Maker”.
