Comic-Con announces TV line-up

'True Blood', 'Glee' and others to host panels

Comic-Con 2011 has revealed which television shows will be heading to San Diego in July.

Among the shows to visit the convention, which celebrates the world of fantasy and comic books, will be True Blood, Glee, Chuck, Community and Britain’s own Torchwood.

As well as listing all the shows it believes will have a presence The Hollywood Reporter has also noted what fans may have in store.

It states that Glee‘s panel, to include Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, “will air a musical sneak preview of never before seen footage and behind the scenes secrets about the series”, while True Blood‘s main cast will all attend.

Animated shows will have a strong presence with the Saturday seeing many of 20th Century Fox‘s classic programmes including The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama and American Dad all appearing.

MTV‘s Beavis and Butt-head will also have a panel after it was announced last year that the show would return after a near 14 year absence.

The convention will also show the first look at the animated series of Napoleon Dynamite, a spin-off from the 2004 cult film.

Earlier this month it was reported that some of the major movie studios may snub this year’s convention.

The International Comic-Con in San Diego will run July 21-24.
