A young British couple got engaged at the Friends Fest event in London last month.
The organisers of Friends Fest, Comedy Central, have shared a video of the unique proposal, which took place on the sofa at a recreation of Monica’s apartment from the long-running sitcom. Watch the couple, David and Laura, getting engaged below.
Comedy Central, home to Friends re-runs in the UK, organised the Friends Fest event in east London last month to celebrate the show’s 21st birthday. From September 16 to September 20, The Boiler House on Brick Lane was transformed into a temporary Friends immersive experience featuring a full-scale recreation of Monica’s apartment, a replica of the fountain from the show’s iconic opening sequence and an exhibition of original props and memorabilia.
Yesterday it was announced that Friends actor David Schwimmer has been cast in Morning Has Broken, the forthcoming Channel 4 sitcom set in the world of daytime TV created by Nighty Night‘s Julia Davis.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift recently brought Friends star Lisa Kudrow onstage to sing ‘Smelly Cat’, her character Phoebe’s most famous song from the show – watch their memorable duet here.
