Courtney Love lands recurring role on US TV drama ‘Revenge’

The Hole frontwoman will play a character called White Gold

Courtney Love has landed a recurring role on US TV drama Revenge.

The singer-actress will play a character called White Gold who is described as a “jetsetter”, People reports. Love’s character is apparently summoned to the show’s Hamptons setting by Margaux (Karine Vanasse), a rival of Emily VanCamp’s lead character, Emily.

Love will make her debut on Revenge in an episode that premieres on US network ABC on March 29. Love and Vanasse are pictured on the show above.

Hole frontwoman Love resumed her acting career last year (2014) with a four-episode guest role on US motorbiking drama Sons Of Anarchy. This year (2015) she has been seen as blues singer Elle Dallas in hit US hip-hop drama series Empire.

She previously enjoyed a promising acting career in the late ’90s, earning a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in 1996’s The People Vs Larry Flynt (pictured right) and co-starring opposite Jim Carrey in 1999’s Man On The Moon.

Meanwhile, Love is reportedly taking legal action against an the anonymous YouTube user who recently posted a ‘fake’ Nirvana song called ‘Flaccid Bone’ online.
