Doubles reportedly hired for The Walking Dead to hide identities of Negan victims

The show is keeping the outcome firmly under wraps until season 7 premiere

The Walking Dead season 7 is currently on its way, as season 6 ended with a cliffhanger – Negan holding his iconic weapon, the barb-wired baseball bat Lucille and picking his first victim.

Producers have promised that the outcome of the cliffhanger will be revealed in the season 7 premiere episode – set to air in October.

According to Inquisitr, the show reportedly hired doubles of current actors to keep the identities of the victims a secret until show time.

They state that there was a casting call for doubles, with the descriptions sounding a lot like two major characters in the zombie apocalypse TV show. This could be to trick fans into thinking both actors are still filming.

The Inquisitr states that the casting call hints at the deaths of Glenn Rhee – played by Steven Yeun – and Sgt. Abraham Ford, played by Michael Cudlitz.

Backstage posted the casting notices, both calling for ‘photo doubles’, usually meaning that the actor simply has to resemble someone at a distance. The first casting call was for a caucasian male from 18-50 years of age with black hair. Additional requirements included being 5’11, 180 pounds, wears pants size 33/30, and a size 12 shoe.

The second asks for a caucasian red-headed male that is 18 years of age or older. The actor needs to be 6’3 and around 210 pounds. The trousers size is 34/32, with a shoe size of 11.5.
