She joins Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates and Chloë Sevigny in the show's cast
American Horror Story regular Emma Roberts is to return for the next instalment, Hotel.
Each season of American Horror Story introduces a new setting and characters, but the show’s creative team are keeping details about Season Five, Hotel, closely under wraps. [a]Lady Gaga]/a] became the first cast member announced for Hotel in February, and since then she has been joined by Kathy Bates, Chloë Sevigny, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock and Max Greenfield.
Now the show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that Roberts will also be appearing late in the season, even though she has a starring role in Murphy’s brand new horror show, Scream Queens, which is shooting simultaneously. “She’s still going to do a couple episodes of Horror Story at the end, I think,” he told Zap2It. “She comes at the end. She comes and she has a great thing with Evan Peters at the end.”
American Horror Story favourite Jessica Lange won’t be appearing in Hotel, but the multi award-winning actress has recently confirmed that she is open to returning to the franchise in the future.
Lady Gaga announced in February that she will be starring in Season Five, and revealed its title: American Horror Story: Hotel. The new season is set to begin on US cable network FX this October (2014), the month after Scream Queens debuts. It will be Gaga’s first TV acting job following small supporting roles in the films Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. She also appeared as herself in last year’s Muppets Most Wanted.
