Four new actors reportedly join cast of ‘True Detective’

Kelly Reilly, Michael Irby, Abigail Spencer and Leven Rambin

Four new actors have reportedly signed up to appear in the forthcoming second season of True Detective, including British actress Kelly Reilly.

Reilly, who has appeared in Above Suspicion and Calvary and is pictured above, will be joined in the second series of the hit HBO drama by Michael Irby, Abigail Spencer and Leven Rambin according to Deadline. It is understood that both Reilly and Spencer, who has appeared in Suits, auditioned for a lead role but have now been cast in the ensemble instead.

Earlier this week Taylor Kitsch seemingly confirmed that he will appear in the series. As reported, Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn will also appear in the second season of the award-winning show. The story will focus on three law-enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government tasked with solving the brutal murder of a corrupt high-level city official.
