Emmanuel sends love to "everyone fighting the good fight"
Game Of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel has shared a screenshot of racist and misogynist abuse she has faced online.
Essex-born Emmanuel has portrayed Missandei in the HBO show since season 3 in 2013.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (April 10), Emmanuel shared an image of an abusive message she recently received from a Twitter user.
“Not really the kinda post you want to put out at the start of a new week,” Emmanuel wrote in the caption. “Also not here to preach…. but in case anyone was wondering what having to deal with regular misogyny and racism is like… here you go.”
She added that she was “sending love and thanks to everyone fighting the good fight, whatever background you come from”.

Game Of Thrones will conclude with its eighth season, due to air in 2019.
Star Maisie Williams recently said filming will end at the end of 2018. “We wrap in December and we air our first episode in April ,” she said.
“That’s a four-month turnaround for these huge episodes. There’s a lot that goes into the final edit. You would not want to rush this season at all. We owe it to our audience and our fans to really do this final season to the best of our abilities.”
