Official ‘Game Of Thrones’ Twitter emojis have arrived, along with some intense character posters

The final season hits our screens on April 14

With the long-anticipated final season of Game Of Thrones almost on our screens, Twitter has unveiled a new series of emojis inspired by the show’s characters.

Almost all the central cast are represented in emoji form when Twitter users hashtag their name, as well as an emoji Iron Throne that pops up with the hashtag #ForTheThrone.

Check out the GoT hashtag emojis below.

Although the majority of fans seem to have enjoyed the new emojis, a few were left angered by the omission of their favourite characters.

The emojis came alongside a new batch of chilling individual character posters to promote the upcoming final season. They feature various characters pictured sitting on the Iron Throne, along with a quote.

Earlier this week, Game Of Thrones creator George RR Martin revealed that he turned down a cameo in the forthcoming season due to logistical reasons.

Meanwhile, HBO put out a request to Thrones fans in the US to donate blood last week as part of the network’s latest charitable partnership with the American Red Cross.

The eighth season of Game of Thrones will premiere on April 14, with just six more episodes left of the current TV adaptation of Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novel series.
