The latest trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, and it’s promising some festive spookiness in the town of Greendale.
The one-off special is a festive offering of the hugely popular Netflix show and sees Kiernan Shipka star once again as the titular witch.
Picking up directly where the first series ended, the new episode sees things getting characteristically creepy as Winter Solstice approaches.
“The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice—the longest night of the year—when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories,” teases an official synopsis.
“But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors—both welcome and unwelcome— you never know what might come down the chimney…”
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale will debut on Netflix on December 14.
The festive trailer comes only days after the first trailer for Sabrina’s second season was revealed. After the first series proved a hit with both fans and critics, the darker reboot of the classic show will be returning across the streaming platform on April 5, 2019.
Promising that the show will make next year “a bit more magical-and a lot sexier”, the short teaser trailer doesn’t give much away, but shows the titular character at work, at play, up to sorcery, and getting into some misadventure.
