Coming in 2017
The first glimpses for the next seasons of HBO shows like Game Of Thrones, Girls and Curb Your Enthusiasm have been teased in a new advert.
A ‘Coming In 2017’ advert has been uploaded to YouTube, featuring clips from Game Of Thrones season 7, among other shows arriving on the cable network next year. It shows Sophie Turner’s character Sansa, as well as Jon Snow and Arya, all on horseback.
The ad also teases new seasons of Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Ballers, Veep and Silicon Valley, plus new shows Big Little Lies, The Young Pope, The Deuce, Room 104, Crashing, new original films The Wizard Of Lies, The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks, documentaries Beware The Slenderman and Rock And A Hard Place.
Game Of Thrones season 7 is expected to air by summer 2017, with season 8 confirmed as its finale outing.
Meanwhile, HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys has confirmed that the network is in talks with author George RR Martin over a potential Game Of Thrones spin-off series.
Rumours have long suggested that a prequel or spin-off series could be in the works but Martin recently described the reports as simply “speculation”.
Now Entertainment Weekly reports that Bloys has said: “I would say it’s still kind of preliminary ongoing talks. There are areas we are exploring, but I wouldn’t point to any one and say, ‘This is what we’re going to do.'”
Meanwhile, George RR Martin recently responded to Donald Trump’s US election win, writing: “Winter is coming. I told you so.”
