Riddle me this...
Hardcore ‘Batman’ and comic-book fans have taken online to voice their excitement and confusion over the latest photo of Robin from the upcoming ‘Titans’ live action show.
While the reaction has been largely positive to the latest photo of the caped crusader’s companion, many would like something to be clarified. Robin in the upcoming season is the alter-ego of Dick Grayson (played by actor Brenton Thwaites), yet many believe that he’s wearing the costume of another Robin from the Batman universe, Tim Drake.
As IGN reports, Drake was own for his own bo staff, with a cape that was black on the outside and yellow on the inside. He also wore trousers, completing the ‘modern look’ that most of today’s ‘Batman’ fans have come to love him for.
Many fans on Twitter are keen for this mystery to be solved, and to know which incarnation of Robin will be appearing.
As IMDB reports, ‘Titans’ is due to hit screens in 2018.
Meanwhile elsewhere in the DC Universe, a new ‘adult’ animated series based around Harley Quinn is said to be in the works. Warner Bros. has reportedly ordered a 26-episode first season of the new animated show, which will be targeted towards adults. In keeping with the success of Suicide Squad, it is said that producers are hoping that Margot Robbie will return to voice the character.
Telling the story of Quinn, the psychiatrist who falls madly in love with The Joker, the series will also feature a major role for Poison Ivy. The series is reportedly being produced by Powerless executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, along with Dean Lorey of Warner Bros. Animation.
The series is said to debut on DC’s new streaming service when it arrives in 2018.
