US Presidential candidate will make cameo appearance in Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer's hit comedy
Hillary Clinton will appear in the upcoming third season of Broad City, it has been confirmed.
The show, which airs on 4Music in the UK, stars writers and creators Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer as they navigate their way through their 20s in New York. Produced by Amy Poehler, previous guest stars have included Fred Armisen and Seth Rogen.
However, the star power will increase hugely come 2016 when Clinton appears in the show. The US Presidential candidate broke the news of her cameo on Twitter, posting a picture of herself with Jacobsen and Glazer alongside Amy Poehler with the caption: “On the set of @broadcity season 3 with @abbijacobson, @ilazer and Amy! #yas”
Broad City returns to screens in February 2016.
Meanwhile, Clinton recently discussed Kanye West‘s aspiration of becoming US President in 2020, suggesting that he “might want to wait” as she would be looking to run for reelection if she succeeds in 2016.
The rapper announced that he will run for President in the 2020 election while accepting a prize at this year’s MTV VMAs in August. West insists he is serious about the bid and that he has been considering it since 2010.
Speaking on an episode of Buzzfeed‘s Another Round podcast, Clinton said: “I’ve told Kanye that I think he might want to wait. Cause I’ll be running for reelection.”
The Democratic candidate also said she’d be open to giving West a political role under her regime: “I might want to give him some additional experience so he’s got, on all the other things he’s done on his resume, he’s got some kind of envoy role or something he could point to… I would not rule out anybody for Vice President”.
