There’s an ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ mobile game now

It's call 'It’s Always Sunny: The Gang Goes Mobile'

‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ have announced a brand new mobile game called ‘It’s Always Sunny: The Gang Goes Mobile’.

It’s created by FoxNext Games and East Side Games and allows fans to play as any of the Paddy’s Pub gang: Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee or Frank.

The aim of the game is to partake in a host of terribly executed moneymaking schemes, where you’ll be able to unlock ill-fated stratagems and fan-favorite characters from the series.

It’s also been reported that storylines and fan-favourite moments from the show will pop up in the game.

FoxNext Games and East Side Games also revealed a cryptic message at the time of the announcement, releasing a Charlie-style pictogram note that reads:

Charlie needs a friend.
Charlie burn money (in a dumpster) and is sad.
Please stop the fire.
Charlie is inside the phone.
So do!

The game is yet to have an official release date but it’ll arrive sometime next year and will be available on both Android and iPhone. You can keep up to date with news of its release at the official Always Sunny game website.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Charlie Day has worn the same shoes for every episode of ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ so far.

The comedy series premiered in 2005 and has been on air for 12 seasons. The cast are currently filming the 13th and 14th series, with Season 13 set to premiere in September.

Speaking of the legacy of the comedy series, FX’s President of Programming Nick Grad said: “If anyone doubts the power of a camcorder and a dream, just look at It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which was a DIY backyard pilot when Rob [McElhenney], Charlie [Day] and Glenn [Howerton] brought it to FX and will go down in TV history as one of the most loved and enduring comedies.

“Few shows make it this far or have such devoted fans, and we owe it all to the creative vision and great humour of the creators and cast who keep Sunny fresh and inventive every season.”
