Actress stars alongside Emma Roberts and Lea Michele in the forthcoming horror-comedy series
Jamie Lee Curtis has recreated the iconic shower scene from Psycho for an upcoming episode of US horror-comedy series Scream Queens.
The actress’s late mother, Janet Leigh, famously appeared in the original shower scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1960 thriller and earned an Oscar nomination for her performance as ill-fated motel guest Marion Crane.
“Recreated Mom’s PSYCHO shower scene 4 a special ep of @ScreamQueens,” Curtis wrote as she tweeted a teaser from her homage to the scene.
Created by the team behind American Horror Story, Scream Queens is a pitch-black comedy series following a series of murders at a sorority house whose residents include Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin and Ariana Grande.
Jamie Lee Curtis plays the university’s dean, while the show’s cast also includes Nick Jonas, Patrick Schwarzenegger and former Buffy, The Vampire Slayer actress Charisma Carpenter. It debuts on Fox on September 22.
The first trailer for Scream Queens was released by Fox over the summer – watch it below.
