He co-hosts a chat show called 'Khal Drogo's Ghost Dojo'
Jason Momoa reprised his iconic role of Game of Thrones‘ Khal Drogo during Saturday Night Live sketch.
Momoa was serving as the show’s guest host last night (December 8), promoting his new movie Aquaman. As part of his guest host duties, Momoa appeared in a number of sketches during the show, including one called Khal Drogo’s Ghost Dojo.
In the sketch, Khal Drogo co-hosts a special chat show with his bloodrider Zerbo (played by Kenan Thompson). In true Khal Drogo style, he ends up stabbing Zerbo within a minute of the show starting.
Guests also include King Joffrey (played by Kate McKinnon), Hodor and the High Sparrow. Watch the sketch below,
Aquaman is set for a cinematic release on December 14. The latest feature film from DC stars Jason Momoa as the titular superhero, as well as Amber Heard as his wife Mera, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren and Willem Dafoe.
During an interview with Heard, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Warner Bros. are confident Aquaman will be a hit and already planning the sequel.
The piece reported that “the film is expected to earn an impressive $65 million in its domestic debut and top Mary Poppins Returns and Transformers spinoff Bumblebee. That number gave Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich enough confidence to begin talks on a sequel (though no writer has been commissioned yet).”
Director James Wan previously told Entertainment Weekly that the latest movie won’t contain any cameos from members of the Justice League, adding that he wanted to keep the story “clean.”
He said: “I wanted to keep the story to the world of Aquaman and not have to worry about what other characters are doing in their films and how that would affect us. I just thought the simplest way was to keep it clean — keep it simple and let it be an Aquaman story.”
