Clarkson is the latest celebrity guest to join the Late Late Show host on his viral singing series, with her episode airing in the US last night (November 29).
During the sketch, Clarkson and Corden duetted on a number of renditions of her hit songs, including ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’, ‘Stronger’ and ‘Because of You’.
The singer also responded to questions about being quoted in Hillary Clinton’s new book and her childhood aspirations to become a marine biologist.
Later in the sketch, Corden surprised Clarkson by picking up her husband and manager Brandon Blackstock. The host then proceeded to put on a romantic backseat date – featuring champagne, strawberries and a violin player – for the couple.

Clarkson, who won the first season of American Idol in 2002, recounted a “dark time” in the early stages of her career during the interview, saying: “When I was really skinny, I wanted to kill myself. I was miserable, like inside and out, for four years of my life. But no one cared, because aesthetically you make sense.”
