Lindsay Lohan to star in own reality show

Eight-part series will follow her attempts to remain healthy and rebuild her career

Lindsay Lohan is to star in her own Keeping Up With The Kardashians-style reality show.

Oprah Winfrey‘s US cable network OWN has commissioned the series and Winfrey has also landed Lohan’s first post-rehab interview. The actress is due to conclude a 90-day stint at a facility in Malibu on July 31.

“OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014,” an OWN representative told Entertainment Weekly.

The reality show will apparently follow Lohan’s attempts to remain healthy and rebuild her acting career. Lohan’s recent appearances include a cameo in Scary Movie 5 and a starring role as Elizabeth Taylor in Liz & Dick, a memorably terrible TV movie that premiered last year (2012).

Her new movie The Canyons, a film noir whose script was penned by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, opens in US cinemas on August 2, though the UK release date has yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below.
