‘Riverdale’ star Luke Perry has reportedly suffered a stroke

The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' actor was hospitalised yesterday, according to reports

Riverdale and Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering ‘a massive stroke’ at his LA home.

The 52-year-old was taken to hospital yesterday morning (February 27) after paramedics were called to his house in Sherman Oaks, LA, according to TMZ.

Approached by Variety and CNN, representatives for Perry said that the actor was “currently under observation at the hospital”.

It’s thought that Perry had recently been shooting scenes for Riverdale at the Warner Bros film lot in LA.

Perry is best known for his role on the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210, in which he played Dylan McKay. The drama, which originally aired from October 1990 to May 2000, was green-lit for a reboot just yesterday by Fox.

Tori Spelling, who also appeared in the original show, broke the news of its return yesterday and confirmed that the revival will bring the “OG crew back together”. She did add, however, that Perry’s involvement in the new Beverly Hills, 90210 largely hinged on him being able to film “as many [episodes] as he can do” due to his existing commitments to Riverdale.

Perry plays Fred Andrews on the popular CW series, which is currently airing its third season in the US.
