‘Made In Chelsea’ star suffers cracked ribs after being tackled by retired All Black in charity rugby match

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing is nursing cracked ribs after being tackled by a retired All Blacks player during a charity rugby match.

Laing, heir to the McVities biscuit fortune, was taken out by former New Zealand international Brad Thorn during the annual Rugby Aid match at Twickenham, which was broadcast live on BT Sport on Friday.

After the match, Laing shared footage of the punishing tackle that cracked his ribs on Instagram – watch below.

In a subsequent post, Laing revealed that he had valiantly played on after sustaining his injury, writing: “Had them out [sic] amazing day of my life thank you @rugbyaid2015… This is the price you pay for putting your body on the line for England Rugby… Loved every moment #crackedribs #stillplayedon”

Other famous faces who took part in this year’s Rugby Aid match included retired footballer Dion Dublin, McBusted’s Harry Judd, former JLS singer JB Gill and dancer Louie Spence. They were joined by rugby stars including Ben Cohen, Paul Sackey, Nick Kennedy, Andy Gomarsall, Tom May, Iain Balshaw, Mark Cueto, Ugo Monye and Lee Mears.
