The actress has been practising her rap skills ahead of West's appearance on the show
Melissa McCarthy has begun her preparations to welcome musical guest Kanye West to Saturday Night Live.
In a new promo for the US show, the actress – who is set to host the show this weekend – can be seen brushing up on her rap skills to welcome West.
Appearing alongside Vanessa Bayer in the clip, McCarthy jokes that her favourite track by the rapper is ‘Butterscotch Man’.
The pair then rap a few bars of the fake tune between them, with McCarthy stating that the song appears on West’s “third of fifteenth” album.
West himself later raps along to ‘Butterscotch Man’, perhaps giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect from his stint on SNL.
And, it seems the rapper has been very busy ahead of his appearance on the show, with West taking to Twitter to simply state: “Please no one text me or ask me for anything till Monday.”
It’s been a hectic week for West on Twitter, with the rapper recently stating that his new album will be called T.L.O.P., while going on to cause controversy by exclaiming he thought Bill Cosby was innocent following recent sexual assault allegations.
