Michael McIntyre was robbed by two men riding a moped while he waited in his car outside his children’s school.

The comedian was parked at the school as he waited to pick his kids up. The men reportedly smashed his car windows with a hammer before stealing McIntyre’s watch.

They then sped off and left McIntyre with no injuries. His publicist told the BBC that McIntyre was doing “fine” after the incident.

“The victim was stationary in his car when two males on a moped smashed the car windows with a hammer before stealing property,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement. They added that they were called at 13:59 BST on June 4 to reports of a robbery in North End Road.

No arrests have been made and police are asking that anyone with information about the incident should call 101 quoting CAD4018/04JUN or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Michael Mcintyre’s Big Show was nominated for best entertainment prorgramme at The BAFTA TV awards last month.

Taking place at London’s Southbank Centre, the ceremony was hosted by Sue Perkins.

Blue Planet II was one of the night’s biggest winners, picking up the prize for Virgin’s Must See Moments, as well as the Specialist Factual category.

Acclaimed mockumentary This Country also won big – picking up the scripted comedy prize, as well as female performance in a comedy programme for star Daisy May Cooper. The show debuted in 2017.
