‘Murder, She Wrote’ star Angela Lansbury joining ‘Game Of Thrones’ cast?

Seventh season expected to air in summer 2017

Reports suggest that Murder, She Wrote star Angela Lansbury will appear in the Game Of Thrones season 7.

The next season will be the penultimate instalment of the show and will debut on HBO in summer 2017. The eighth and final season is expected to follow in 2018.

German news site Bild reports that Lansbury – who is best known for playing Jessica Fletcher in mystery crime drama Murder, She Wrote from 1984 to 1996 – will make a guest appearance in two episodes of season seven, with the actress set to spend four days filming the cameos.

Last week it was reported that Harry Potter actor Jim Broadbent will play a “significant” role in season seven.

Production on the penultimate season of Game of Thrones has reportedly begun in Northern Ireland. It’s believed that filming for the show’s seventh season began last week in the same locations where a large majority of the show has previously been filmed – along with additional filming in Spain and Iceland.
