Narcos actor Wagner Moura has discussed the future of the Netflix show in interview with NME.
Moura plays Pablo Escobar in the series, which follows the story of the real life Colombian drug baron, who died in 1993. The show’s second season arrives on the streaming service today (September 2).
With season two depicting Escobar’s death, Moura has revealed that he won’t appear in any future seasons but that he expects the creators to continue the story without him.
Asked if he would return if they told a new story, Moura told NME: “I don’t think so; I think I’m done with the Narcos world.”
Speaking about the creators’ future plans, Moura added: “I think they’re going to keep doing it, I don’t know. I think there’s going to be a third season but we never know.”
Narcos is directed by Jose Padilha and was created by Law & Order: Criminal Intent showrunner Chris Brancato with writing by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. Watch a trailer for the second season below.
