Portman will host and Lipa will perform.
‘Saturday Night Live’ has announced Natalie Portman and Dua Lipa as its host and musical guest respectively, for its upcoming show on February 3.
The first February ‘SNL’ episode of 2018 will broadcast live from New York City on NBC, at 11.30pm ET.
The singer posted a tweet about her impending performance, revealing that it was ‘a dream come true’.
“I AM THE MUSICAL GUEST ON @NBCSNL ON THE 2ND OF FEB!” she wrote.
“I have the craziest butterflies rn and I’m nervous just typing this out. A dream come true…someone pinch me!”
In her excitement, she tweeted the wrong show date, as she will be appearing on February 3, not February 2.
The rest of the internet also seemed pretty excited at the news:
Recently, the ‘New Rules’ singer made BRIT awards history when she received five nominations for this year’s awards.
Her five nominations not only make her the most nominated act of 2018, but she’s also bagged the most nominations ever for a female solo artist at the UK awards.
Speaking to NME last year about her ambitions for the future, Lipa said: “It’s like when you hear a voice on the radio and think, ‘Well, that’s Ed Sheeran.’ I want people to hear my voice, or my name, and think, ‘That’s the girl who sings ‘Hotter Than Hell’. That’s the girl who sings ‘Be The One’.’”
The singer is touring the UK in April – check out dates here.
Meanwhile, the internet is convinced that Natalie Portman and ‘Stranger Things” Millie Bobby Brown are the same person…
