Netflix confirms ‘Daredevil’ will return in March – see first clip

Second series for Charlie Cox and Marvel superhero

The new series of Marvel’s Daredevil will return to Netflix in March.

The album will be available on the streaming platform from March 18.

Co-stars Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll and Eddie Henson are all reprising their roles from season one, which launched on Netflix in April 2015 and quickly became one of the streaming service’s most popular shows.

Meanwhile, former The Walking Dead actor Jon Bernthal has joined the cast cast for season two and will play a character called ‘The Punisher’.

Frank Castle aka The Punisher is a popular antihero who made his Marvel Comics debut in 1974 and has previously been played on screen by actors including Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson. Marvel describes the character as “a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results”.

The second season of Daredevil is the latest Netflix original series for Marvel following Jessica Jones and the upcoming Luke Cage and Iron Fist. This will culminate with all of the main characters teaming up in The Defenders
