The gang are back together
A new picture of the cast of Cold Feet has been revealed, following the announcement that the show will be returning to screens later this year.
Original actors John Thomson, James Nesbitt, Fay Ripley, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst all feature in the new photo.
Speaking to the BBC, creator Mike Bullen said it was the right time to revisit the group of friends “as they tip-toe through the minefield of middle age”.
Beginning in 1997, Cold Feet went on for a total of five seasons before finishing in 2003. It followed the lives of three 30-something couples, with more than 10 million viewers tuning in for its finale.
Continuing to speak to the BBC, Bullen said: “They’re 50, but still feel 30, apart from on the morning after the night before, when they really feel their age. They’ve still got lots of life to look forward to, though they’re not necessarily the years one looks forward to.”
Filming for the series has already begun and will feature eight new episodes set to air on ITV later this year.
