The clip was designed only to play on mobiles, but one fan has managed to upload it to YouTube
A new teaser clip for season five of Game of Thrones has appeared online – although it probably wasn’t supposed to.
The clip was sent to the mobiles of fans who signed up to receive something called “The Sight” via SMS when a mysterious promotional website was launched at the end of last month (November). According to Vulture, the clip was designed only to be played on mobiles, but one enterprising Reddit user has figured out a way to upload it to YouTube.
HBO unveiled nine new cast members for Game Of Thrones season five at San Diego Comic-Con in July, including former Bond villain Jonathan Pryce and Oscar-nominated actress Keisha Castle-Hughes. The new season is expected to premiere on HBO in the spring.
Meanwhile, former Game Of Thrones star Charles Dance – who played wealthy Lord Tywin Lannister in the first four seasons – has recently revealed that discussions about a potential spin-off film are now underway.
