Spin-off centred on Walter White's dodgy lawyer is set to premiere next February
A new teaser clip for Better Call Saul – the Breaking Bad spin-off series centred on Walter White’s dodgy lawyer Saul Goodman – has been released by US cable network AMC.
Alongside the teaser clip, AMC has announced that it will air the first episode of Better Call Saul on February 8 – with episode two to follow 24 hours later on February 9. In the UK, the series will arrive on Netflix in February.
Bob Odenkirk is reprising his Breaking Bad role as Saul for the spin-off series, which is initially set in 2002, six years before Saul meets Walt. When we meet Saul he’s actually called James McGill and hustling for ‘legal’ work with fixer Mike Ehrmantraut, played by Jonathan Banks, a character who also appeared in Breaking Bad.
Better Call Saul‘s first season will consist of 10 episodes, and AMC has already commissioned a second season comprising 13 episodes. The spin-off series is being steered by Peter Gould, one of Breaking Bad‘s executive producers, and Vince Gilligan, who created the award-winning drugs drama starring Bryan Cranston.
