‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch’ reunion would be ‘tough’, says Melissa Joan Hart

Hart starred in the classic teen sitcom from 1996 to 2003

Melissa Joan Hart has discussed the possibility of bringing back Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

The classic teen sitcom starred Hart as an apparently ordinary teenager who discovers on her 16th birthday that she has magical powers. The show premiered in 1996 and ran for 163 episodes until 2003.

Asked about the possibility of reuniting the show’s cast for a reunion special, Hart told omg!: “I might consider that, but it’s always tough to go back. It’s so tough to go back and make it right, make it really good.”

Hart, now 37, also admitted the cast’s age is a factor, saying: “You have one shot to get it really right – everybody always looks older, things have changed.” The show also starred Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick as Sabrina’s aunts and Nick Bakay as the voice of Salem, her not entirely lifelike feline companion.

Summarising her reservations about a Sabrina comeback, Hart added: “Those reunions seem so exciting, but in reality I think they don’t always work out as well as they seem [like] they will.”
