Ridley's character Rey features prominently in the latest 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer
Daisy Ridley, one of the main Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast members, has posted a video on Instagram showing her reaction to this morning’s third and final trailer.
Ridley, whose character Rey features prominently in the trailer, is seen gasping with excitement as she watches it on her iPhone, before ultimately being overcome by emotion. Watch the clip below.
The new trailer, which premiered earlier this morning, clocks in at two minutes and 23 seconds and hints at what fans can expect from the film. Harrison Ford’s Han Solo and Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia both feature in the trailer, though Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker is notably absent.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release in the UK on December 17 and in the US a day later. It takes place 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jedi. The film’s script was penned by director JJ Abrams, Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt and Star Wars franchise veteran Lawrence Kasdan.
Alongside Daisy Ridley and the returning trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the film’s cast also includes Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow and Andy Serkis. Meanwhile, it has recently emerged that the film will feature a character apparently named after a Beastie Boys album.
