‘Teen Wolf’ to end after season 6

The 100th episode will serve as its finale

Teen Wolf will come to an end after season 6, showrunner Jeff Davis has confirmed.

The show first aired in 2011 and is loosely based on the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox. The TV show stars Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin and Holland Roden.

Speaking during Thursday’s Comic-Con panel, Davis confirmed that season 6 will be the show’s last, with its 100th episode serving as its finale.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Davis said: “We’re eternally grateful for the support we’ve received over these past six years and we’re excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure.”

He added, “I know we’re sad about it and it’s bittersweet but we’re so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys,” he said, before reportedly hugging star Tyler Posey.

Star Holland Roden added: “I grew up with this gang of boys basically during my entire 20s… and it’s been the craziest ride. I probably wouldn’t be acting if it wasn’t for this show.”

Digital Spy have also reported that Dylan O’Brien and Ian Bohan will be returning for the final season, with Davis sharing a teaser trailer of the final season during the discussion. “When we realized this might be the last season, we wanted to make sure we brought back these relationships,” Davis said during the Comic-Con panel.

“We definitely wanted Peter Hale back to see the relationship between Peter and Malia and what other trouble Peter could get into… and we also have some great scenes between Peter and Stiles. I wanted to see again and Ian and Dylan [O’Brien] have some great stuff this season so we’ll see.”
