The Pokémon Go-style game invites players to kill zombies

A new trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ mobile game, The Walking Dead: Our World, has been released.

Described as a “first-of-a-kind location based augmented reality mobile game,” The Walking Dead: Our World will released on the Apple App Store and Google Play on July 12.

The game works like Pokémon Go but instead of catching cute Pokémon, you kill zombies. They can appear almost anywhere, while you might also bump into your favoruite characters from the show including Rick, Daryl and more. Watch the trailer below.

Earlier this month, 44% of Walking Dead fans said that they will stop watching the show once Andrew Lincoln leaves.

Lincoln’s character Rick Grimes – who Lincoln has played since the show debuted in October 2010 – is expected to depart the show during or at the end of its forthcoming ninth season.

A new survey found that 44% of responders admitted that they wouldn’t carry on watching the show following Rick’s final scene, with 37% undecided. Only 19% of fans who took part in the poll confirmed that they would carry on watching after Rick’s exit. 72% of the people who completed the poll think that The Walking Dead should end after season nine.

The show’s eighth season received mixed reactions from fans following showrunner Scott Gimple’s decision to kill Carl Grimes – one of the shows leading characters – earlier in the season.

Season 9 of The Walking Dead is expected to air in October.
