"I gotta check the timelines on that."
One of the stars of The Walking Dead has suggested that a crossover with Breaking Bad could be a distinct possibility.
Seth Gilliam, who plays priest Gabriel Stokes in the zombie drama, suggested that the two could cross paths after show-runner Dave Erickson previously confirmed that they are both set in the same universe.
The actor told Seriously: “I gotta check the timelines on that, let’s see if the timelines work out. I like the mashup, I like the crossover idea. It’s both in the AMC world. Why not?”
Although it’s unclear how a potential crossover could work, there’s always the chance to follow a popular fan theory from 2016. The theory originated online and suggested that The Walking Dead was the sequel to Breaking Bad, with the apocalypse being sparked by Walter White’s highly potent crystal meth.
Meanwhile, the tenth season of The Walking Dead was finally confirmed earlier this month.
Season 10 was confirmed via Instagram by showrunner Angelia Kang.
“Season 10! #twd #thewalking dead,” she captioned the clip, which showed The Whisperers from the zombie apocalypse growling, before one stares directly at the camera, placing a finger to their mouth.
‘S10 October’ then appears across the screen, presumably confirming the new season could arrive later this year.
Speaking about the new season earlier this year, Kang told Comicbook: “I’ll say first of all that we’ve still planned some more story with Maggie. Lauren wants to [do it], it will be a little subject to her schedule but hopefully we have her back next season.
“We have always planned to have this great story with Maggie this season and I think we promised something. We wanted to pay off that promise. We definitely have a very strong Maggie arc.”
