The British actor won for his bum-baring performance in 'The Night Manager'
Tom Hiddleston has been named the winner of 2016’s Rear Of The Year competition.
The actor, who is currently dating Taylor Swift, won the award for his performance in the British-American miniseries The Night Manager, specifically for a particular scene in which he bares his behind – a scene that was cut from the US version of the show.
Rear Of The Year, a competition that has been honouring British celebrities with enviable behinds since 1981, posted on their site, “The votes flooded in when Tom revealed his well-toned rear on our TV screens”. Meanwhile, Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe has been namedi the female recipient of the award.
Hiddleston has been rumoured to be appearing in series four of the BBC drama Sherlock, with crew members hinting that the third Holmes brother, ‘Sherrinford’, could be part of the new series.
Mark Gatiss also tweeted a photo of himself and Hiddleston at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend with the cryptic caption “Blud”, sparking fresh rumours that the pair could be siblings in future episodes.
Previous winners of Rear Of The Year include Daniel Radcliffe, who won the award in 2015, singer Olly Murs, who won in 2014, and Carol Vorderman, who remains the only person to have picked up the award more than once, in 2011 and 2014.
