Thomas confirmed her departure yesterday (December 19) after the character Alisha was killed off in Sunday’s series finale. She subsequently wrote on Twitter: “I won’t be coming back for series four but I can’t wait to see it! I’ve had an amazing time in Misfits – it has been epic!”
The third series of Misfits saw original star Robert Sheehan depart the, but it has remained successful since introducing This Is England star Joseph Gilgun to the cast. A fourth series has already been commissioned.
The show concerns a group of young people on community service who are given superpowers in a freak electrical storm. A US remake is currently in development.
