Watch the gripping first trailer for Uma Thurman’s new Netflix series ‘Chambers’

The psychological horror show centres on a young heart attack survivor and the family of the donor who saved her

The first trailer for Uma Thurman’s new Netflix series Chambers has been released.

The psychological horror show follows Sasha Yazzie (Sivan Alyra Rose), who receives a heart transplant after suffering a heart attack. After she recovers, she gets to know the family of the girl whose heart she now has and begins to uncover more details about her sudden death.

Thurman plays Nancy Lefevre, the mother of the late Becky (Lilliya Scarlett Reid), in the show. Tony Goldwyn, Lilli Kay, and Marcus LaVoi also appear in the series, which will arrive on Netflix on April 26. You can watch the trailer below now.

In a press release, show creator Leah Rachel said: “Taking place in a mystic, New Age pocket of Arizona, Chambers is a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolise trauma. But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and fucked up than you were expecting.”

Meanwhile, the streaming platform recently released the second series of its hit show Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. Speaking to NME, star Kiernan Shipka discussed the programme’s handling of sensitive subjects.

“Sabrina is definitely our favourite woke witch,” she said. “This show is perfect for the time we’re living in right now. It’s an escape from reality, but also mirroring reality at the same time.”

Last month it was reported that Netflix were carrying out tests on a range of price increases for customers in the UK. “We are testing slightly different prices to better understand how members value Netflix,” a spokesperson for the service said.

“Not everyone will see this test and we may never roll out these specific prices beyond this test. Our goal is to ensure that Netflix is always great value for money.”
